Overview
Ultimate Sports Lovers Tour visits the MCG, Rod Laver Arena* PLUS National Sports Museum so you can immerse yourself in Melbourne which is the sports capital of the world.
Explore Flemington, home of the Melbourne Cup - the horse race that stops the nation. Drive through the Commonwealth Games Athletes Village and around Albert Park, on the F1 Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit alongside Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre.
We tour behind the scenes of the Melbourne Cricket Ground. The MCG is a super stage for Australian sport, stadium for the 1956 Olympics, Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, International Cricket and Australian Rules Football.
Highlights of the tour (all subject to availability) include; The Olympic Stand, Media Centre, Players change rooms (football and cricket), Cricket viewing room, the exclusive Member's areas - including the Long Room, Bill Lawry Cricket Centre, The Ponsford Stand - Aerial views, and walk on the hallowed turf (arena).
Visit the National Sports Museum, located at the iconic MCG and featuring more than 2500 sporting artefacts and extensive multi media displays, showcasing the great moments in Australia's sporting history. More than just a museum, it captures the spirit of Australian sporting life and relives the moments that have shaped Australia's rich sporting traditions.
Enjoy lunch overlooking the arena at Etihad Stadium (formerly Telstra Dome).
We tour Rod Laver Arena at one of the world's busiest sports and entertainment precincts. Enjoy an insiders point of view as you are taken through Australian Open tournament control, the change rooms used by the world's best tennis players, the Walk of Fame, up to the superboxes and VIP hospitality areas, inside the media centre theatrette and events permitting, onto the Arena. (all subject to availability)
Please note: *NB. Rod Laver Arena not available mid-Dec to mid-Feb due to the Australian Open Tennis so will be replaced with choice of Etihad Stadium or Eureka SkyDeck.
